$60 Million Theme Park?
Reading an article at CP24 really surprised us here at Toronto Condo Boutique. The Developers of the Marble Live Facility told Cp24.com that they have ‘conducted feasibility studies on three potential sites in the Toronto & Mississauga area’ and they would not provide an insight to those sites, however, the sites will most likely not require zoning and the areas are construction prepped.
Currently, the developers are in active negotiations and they are looking to secure a site for the project, however, no projected timelines were disclosed. The goal is to ‘break ground’ on the project by Spring 2015, although the project hasn’t been presented to the council.
Once they have found the site, they will make a proper announcement. The concept they are trying to build of an indoor/outdoor theme park is to last at least 50 or 60 years. This theme park would be equipped to open year round with a retractable roof. The developers have been working on the project for almost two years now and they only just now started publicizing it.
Ontario Place has been partially closed since February 2012 and the province is working to transform the government-owned facility into a year-round site and it is unclear whether they would be okay with building another amusement park on the 96-acre lakefront property.
