Coca-Cola on King Street East

Coca-Cola Canada’s old building in East York had a retro appeal, however, the workspaces were short on natural light, meeting space and had too many dividing walls. Most offices nowadays are set up to be an open concept with plenty of attraction for communicating more effectively. Coca-Cola is Canada into constantly improving processes and after discussing this with their employees, the company decided to build a new space in a well accessible area, particularly by the TTC and in a downtown neighbourhood.
The result is a three-storey addition to the top of the Toronto Sun building on King East. The airy new office features Coke-themed art and has a large, central atrium featuring major audio-visual appeal in a large television screen that is normally something you would see in a stadium.
In the summertime, Coca-Cola’s 400 employees will be able to relax on the outdoor patio. As something you would expect from the world famous soda maker, the cafeteria includes a Freestyle Machine, which instantly makes over 100 different drinks for free – although – there are vending machines elsewhere in the office that still charge a dollar per can.
The area is booming with growth and with work places like Coca-Cola moving into the area, the condominium market continues to be a wonderful investment what with the professionals in these highly corporate geared offices require the benefit of living close to work, transit and a lively life-style.
