PROJECT INTRODUCTION
1 Yonge is a new condo project by Pinnacle International currently in the planning phase at 1 Yonge Street in Toronto. It is projected to have over four thousand units. When you buy a new condo in Toronto, you pay a higher price depending on the floor the condo is on. For example, a condo on the 20th floor will cost you more than one on the 8th floor. Condos 1 Yonge Street will overlook Lake Ontario on the south side and the downtown area of Toronto on the other sides. Obviously the higher you are, the more spectacular view you will have, so it might be worth paying extra to have a condo on a higher floor.
This development will be the largest in the whole of Canada and the proposed height will be from 70 storeys up to 98 storeys depending which of the four towers the condo is on. The developer of the condos, Pinnacle Developments spent a huge 250 million dollars on the land purchase and they have the Toronto based architects Hariri Pontarini on hand designing the project. These architects have built many landmarks in Canada’s largest metropolis, including the Massey Tower and the Pinnacle on Adelaide. Pinnacle Developments have two successful condo buildings at the waterfront already at the Success Tower and 33 Bay Street Condos so they are well versed in the downtown core of Toronto.
This condo building at 1 Yonge Street will be the tallest residential condo building as well as the highest waterfront condo building and it will no doubt be a spectacular addition to downtown Toronto.
