A Platinum Agent is a high-volume broker or sales representative who has the best relationships with condo developers.
While there is no formal designation, Platinum Agents will often have first access into many different projects due to a high number of sales in previous projects (often ranging from 10-50 sales or more).
Platinum Agents can either be provided with floor allocations (i.e. 1-4 floors to sell in a project prior to the launch) or absolute first access with highest priority.
Platinum Agents will often sell units in a new project prior to any marketing or advertising being ready, and prior to the sale office/presentation centre being completed. This means investors don’t have the luxury of visiting a model suite, or glossy marketing brochures, but benefit from the lowest possible pricing and first access to suite selection.
There are usually 5-15 Platinum Agents in a new condo project launch and they are typically provided 1-4 weeks to sell a given project before being given to ‘VIP Agents’
