Cladding Appears on King Charlotte Condos

With bold pieces of precast and luxurious glass, King Charlotte at 11 Charlotte Street looks stately. Massive panels of white precast cladding have been installed for the podium, and the first pieces of glass curtain wall have appeared on the 32-storey project by Lamb Development Corp, Niche Development and Fortress Real Development. With a fantastic location and great finishes, King Charlotte will reign triumphantly.
Architecturally, King Charlotte is a minimalist glass tower with boxes protruding irregularly from the monolithic façade for character. All balconies are recessed on the architectsAlliance-designed façade, meaning balcony railings are flush with the side walls to be clad with glass curtain wall. The effect is crisp and refined, with subtle details like the fritted balcony glass.
The podium is a long box clad in quality white precast panels arranged in a pattern of heavier and lighter vertical lines. King Charlotte is crowned with a smaller box with red cladding and semi-transparent glass with a crosshatch pattern.

The condo will have 232 units, which range from 422 to 962 square feet. Interiors have been designed by II BY IV Design Associates. Principle rooms will have nine-foot ceilings. Befitting the modern architecture, interior ceilings will be concrete, with white plaster in the washrooms and foyer. Units will have floor-to-ceiling glass walls along the exterior of the building.
Kitchens have been designed with European-style cabinetry, stone countertops, glass backsplashes and stainless steel appliances. Balconies and terraces will have a gas barbeque connection. Residents will also be able to enjoy the building’s outdoor pool atop the tower’s main volume.
King Charlotte’s location offers proximity to great downtown neighbourhoods and landmarks. Located at the edge of the Theatre District, the area becomes a star-studded affair every September with the Toronto International Film Festival headquartered at the Bell Lightbox two blocks away. The Bell Lightbox itself is a vibrant cultural centre with some of the city’s best options for cinema all-year round, as well as bars and restaurants. It is also within easy walking distance of the Financial District.
With fine cladding now being installed, King Charlotte will be an outstanding tower.
Lamb Development Corp has checked off the important boxes for buyers like location, design and interiors for a great project. King Charlotte is a city builder.
